WOLFSTONE FIDDLERSThe Scottish rock band whose unique blend of music has produced two gold albums and seen the band play around the world headlining many major festivals to a large and loyal following. ADAM SUTHERLAND Fiddler with Peatog Faeries, Session A9, Step Dance Co., Croft No.5 and Salsa Celtica. ANNA-WENDY STEVENSON Anna-Wendy's distinctive sound is a product of classical expertise and traditional passion. These two strengths have opened many doors to Anna-Wendy both as an orchestral player and as an internationally traveled ‘fiddler'. CHARLIE MCKERRON One of Scotland's finest fiddle players, Charlie McKerron won the Daily Record Golden Fiddle Award. He first joined Capercaillie in 1985 and has toured extensively throughout the world with the band. GORDON GUNN Gordon Gunn has been described as "one of the most exciting and innovative fiddle players of the times." Gordon is also a respected fiddle tutor, composer and session musician. His compositions have been recorded by many artistes including Session A9, Phil Cunningham & Aly Bain, Ingrid Henderson, American fiddler Rodney Miller and "McGregor, Brechin & O'Headra" to name but a few. KILTEARN FIDDLERS Award winning Kiltearn Fiddlers emerged from the Fèis Rois Traditional Fiddle Classes, initiated by Rita Hunter, in 1990. Alpha Munro, the leader of the Kiltearn Fiddlers, formed the performing group to improve their performance skills, expertise and confidence and to promote Scottish Traditional Music in the area. LAUREN MACCOLL GAELIC SINGERSFormer Kiltearn Fiddler who now fronts her own trio, 'The MacCollective', with Barry Reid (Croft No. 5) and Mhairi Hall. JULIE FOWLIS MY SPACESince the release of her award-winning album 'cuilidh' in 2007 Julie has spent much time developing her own sound with a top-class touring band including husband Éamon Doorley, Dublin's Tony Byrne, Highlander Duncan Chisholm and bodhrán champion Martin O'Neill. This formidable line-up has become synonymous with emotive, expressive and high energy live shows. PIPERS IAIN MACDONALD I am a Traditional Musician, a piper, flute player, whistle player etc.. and play mostly Scottish and Irish music with a little 'other' stuff thrown in. My music I suppose, has a heavy Gaelic influence, it being my first language and the language of the area where I was born and brought up in. MAIREARAD GREEN Originally from the Wester Ross village of Achiltibuie, Mairearad Green, “a rare talent” on accordion and pipes, is one of Scotland’s finest musical exports. STUART CASSELLS PIPING ORGANISATIONSStuart Cassells is one of Scotland’s leading young bagpipers, with a CV that includes winning most of the top junior solo competitions, being heard on the soundtrack of the film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as well as recording with the British rock band The Darkness. Stuart's Band - The Red Hot Chilli Pipers – are also in much demand and perform at all sorts of functions and events all over the world. THE ROSS AND CROMARTY PIPES & DRUMS SCHOOL TRADITIONAL MUSIC GROUPSSince June 2006, when The Band started competing, they have now won 5 trophies and have also received a Highland Council Award for their contribution to music in the community. ANNA MASSIE BAND Anna Massie was the winner of the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2003 Award. A talented multi-instrumentalist, she excels in playing the fiddle, mandolin and tenor banjo. Though perhaps most impressive is her guitar playing. As well as solo performances, Anna also formed a trio featuring the impressive guitar and vocal talents of Jenn Butterworth and the outstanding accordion and border pipe playing of Mairearad Green. BLAZIN' FIDDLES Scotland’s award winning group, Blazin' Fiddles, draws the distinct flavour of fiddle music from various regions of the highlands and islands.
