BENBECULA 

From September 2009 to June 2010 I studied a Traditional Music Course together with Gaelic at the Benbecula Campus of Lews Castle College.

My tutors there were Will Lamb, Anna-Wendy Stevenson and Iain MacDonald. 

I really enjoyed my year on Benbecula and achieved my H.N.D.  As you will see ensewhere on this website it was a very rewarding time musically with many sessions being played in the Westford, The Dark Isles Hotel and the Tigh Dearg.  Below is a photo of the student colleagues I spent the year with.  Will Lamb and Anna-Wendy Stevenson are in the front.

In September 2010 I began my studies at the University of Strathclyde for my B.A (Hons) in Applied Music. 

The Applied Music Course is taught in Jordanhill Campus, the former Teacher Training College, seen here in the top photograph.

The main campus of the University is in the centre of Glasgow.
