Hi, I'm Alasdair Turner, a Piper, Fiddler and Guitarist from Ross-Shire in the Highlands of Scotland, but, at the moment, temporarily staying on Benbecula, one of the Western Isles.

I am otherwise known as Ali T.

My interest in music was initially sparked by classes organised by Fèis Rois with weekly classes in Fiddle with Alpha Munro and then Guitar with Mike Simpson and Dagger Gordon.  I learnt Piping through Highland Council's Schools Music Tuition with Niall Matheson. 

Through these organisations and tutors  I was given many opportunities to learn from a diverse selection of traditional musicians, to build a wide repertoire of traditional music and to meet a group of people of my own age with the same interests.
